  • Why do texture and color vary from stone to stone?

Natural stone is a product of nature, which means it is subject to endless variations. Characteristics such as veining and mineral deposits will affect each piece. Stone will not only vary from quarry to quarry but also from stone to stone. All natural stone is unique and no two stones are alike. This is one of the most desirable characteristics of natural stone. To get started with our wide variety of different, one-of-a-kind stones for your granite, marble, or quartz countertops, give us a call today at (201) 704-9644.

  • Can I use my regular cleaning products on my marble, quartz, or granite countertops?

This is not recommended. The chemicals contained in these cleaners can react negatively with your stone. They may etch some stones or even make them look dull and lifeless. It's best to use cleaning products made specifically for your marble, quartz, or granite countertops.

  • What special care does my stone require?

Thankfully, our quartz, marble, and granite countertops don't require too much special care. According to The Spruce, quartz countertops are completely waterproof and won't need sealing. Be sure to apply a stone sealer to your granite countertop if needed and clean your stone regularly. Don't use acidic or abrasive cleaners.

  • How often do I need to seal my granite countertops?

This depends on the sealer you choose. Some sealers need to be applied every six months to a year, while others last for four to five years. Give us a call today to learn about the different sealers you can use on your granite countertops.

  • What is a kitchen backsplash?

The backsplash is the area behind and above your countertops. It prevents water and oil from splashing onto your walls. To learn about how our quartz, marble, and granite countertops can complement your kitchen backsplash, give us a call today at (201) 704-9644.

  • Does natural stone harbor bacteria?

If sealed and maintained properly, your stone can be extraordinarily resilient to bacteria. Many reports and studies are available online! To get started with durable quartz, marble, or granite countertops, contact our team today.

  • My marble and granite contractor is recommending that I choose a different stone. What should I do?

Usually, your contractor will only recommend a different stone if the one you choose is unsuitable for your project. Your chosen stone may be too delicate or hard to work with. Give our team a call and we'll be happy to find a suitable replacement stone for your new quartz, marble, or granite countertops.

  • How much does a granite countertop cost?

This is one of the most frequently asked questions. This answer varies. Stone is usually quoted by the square foot and the cost depends on a number of things, including:

    • The actual stone you choose to use
    • Any special edges
    • Full backsplashes
    • Other modifications

Using an undermount sink rather than a drop-in sink entails more polishing. Therefore, this also adds to the cost. To get a better understanding of the cost of your granite countertops, give our helpful team a call today at (201) 704-9644.
